In this article, Governor Greg Gianforte’s voting address has once again been called into question due to Montana’s constitutional requirement that the governor “reside at the seat of government,” which is in Helena. Despite this, Gianforte has voted and registered at an address in Gallatin County, Bozeman, sparking scrutiny.
Caitlin Boland Aarab, of Boland Aarab PLLP was quoted stating that this is compelling evidence Gianforte doesn’t meet the residency mandate. Mrs. Boland Aarab further asserts that this behavior exemplifies a “follow-only-the-rules-I-like” attitude. Meanwhile, Ryan Busse, a Democratic challenger, criticized Gianforte’s actions, highlighting his history of allegedly ignoring rules.
